Caregivers conference is Nov. 15 at Provo hospital

PROVO — People caring for an aging or disabled loved one are invited to attend an afternoon of healing and hope at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center's Clark Auditorium Nov. 15 from 4 to 6 p.m.

Finding Hope and Healing, the 2007 Caregivers Conference, features keynotes by Wendy Ulrich, psychologist and founder of Sixteen Stones Center for Growth, and Carolyn Cameron, a registered nurse who has been a full-time caregiver for the past seven years. A panel discussion will include the two speakers as well as Dr. Gily Ionescu, an internal medicine physician; Geri Lahnardt, of Mountainland Aging and Family Services; and Ardice Lorscheider, a caregiver.

Participants will receive a binder with resources and support for caregivers and those they serve. Seating is limited. The event is free. To register call Intermountain University at 801-357-8735.
