The Utah ski season will get an official send-off in a very unique way — the Fat Flake Festival.

The festival will take place Nov. 3 at the Gallivan Center in downtown Salt Lake City.

Among the highlights will be the Monster Rail Jam, which will bring together some of the top wintersports athletes to show their amazing skills; and appearances by some of the world's best skiers, including Sage Cattabriga-Alosa, Nate Roberts, Heidi Volker, Cooper Hoffmeister, Julian Carr and Jamey Parks, to name a few. The event will also include the 2007 Ski & Ride Utah Photo of the Year contest, featuring ski photos from the best in the industry.
