Referendum 1 voucher debates scheduled:

Today

• What: Debate hosted by the Salt Lake Rotary Club

Time: Noon

Where: Marriott Hotel across from Salt Palace, 75 S. West Temple, Salt Lake City.

Note: Public is invited. Richard Eyre will represent pro-Referendum 1 side. Kim Burningham will represent the anti-voucher side.

Time: 6:30-8 p.m.

Where: Red Moose Lodge, 2547 N. Valley Junction Drive, Eden, Weber County

Note: Public is invited. Doug Holmes will represent Parents for Choice in Education vs. Lisa Johnson, Utahns for Public Schools.

Note: Public is invited. Joe Baker, a Southern Utah University economics professor, and Iron County School Superintendent Jim Johnson will have an open forum on vouchers.

Thursday

• What: Meet the candidate night and referendum Q&A

Time: 6-7 p.m. mingle with candidates, 7-8 p.m. moderated Q&A

Where: South Jordan City Hall, 1600 W. Towne Center Drive, South Jordan.

Note: Public is invited. Legislators will be present to talk about Referendum 1.
