7 debates on voucher issue are planned around the state

• What: Debate hosted by the Salt Lake Rotary Club

Where: Marriott Hotel across from Salt Palace, 75 S. West Temple, Salt Lake City.
Note: Public is invited. Richard Eyre will represent pro-Referendum 1 side. Kim Burningham will represent the anti-voucher side.

• What: Ogden Valley debate
Time: 6:30-8 p.m.
Where: Red Moose Lodge, 2547 N. Valley Junction Drive, Eden, Weber County
Note: Public is invited. Doug Holmes will represent Parents for Choice in Education vs. Lisa Johnson, Utahns for Public Schools.
• What: Voucher forum and Q&A hosted by the Kamas Schools PTO
Time: 7 p.m.
Where: South Summit Middle School, 355 E. 300 South, Kamas
Note: Public is invited. Rep. Greg Hughes, R-Draper will represent the pro-Referendum 1 side.
• What: Voucher forum and Q&A hosted by Cedar City High School
Time: 7 p.m.
Where: Cedar City High auditorium, 703 W. 600 South, Cedar City
Note: Public is invited. Joe Baker, a Southern Utah University economics professor, and Iron County School Superintendent Jim Johnson will have an open forum on vouchers.
Thursday
• What: Meet the candidate night and referendum Q&A
Time: 6-7 p.m. mingle with candidates, 7-8 p.m. moderated Q&A
Where: South Jordan City Hall, 1600 W. Towne Center Drive, South Jordan.
Note: Public is invited. Legislators will be present to talk about Referendum 1.
• What: Debate at Cottonwood Heights City Hall
Time: 7 p.m.
Where: 1265 E. Fort Union Blvd., Ste. 250 or 300, Cottonwood Heights.
Note: Public is invited. Dan Earley, representing Parents for Choice in Education, will debate a representative from Utahns for Public Schools.
Sunday
• What: "On the Record" with Chris Vanocur, ABC Channel 4
Time: Live coverage begins 9:30 a.m.
