Dried mustard agent residue was found on two projectiles at the Deseret Chemical Depot in Stockton Thursday. An official statement from the company said no vapors escaped into the environment from the underground facility.

The 155-mm leaking munitions were placed by toxic material handlers into airtight containers following their discovery during routine monitoring of a storage igloo at the depot. The containers will continue to be stored at the facility.

Tooele County officials were contacted regarding the incident. Surrounding communities were in no danger, the statement said.
