Provo/Orem in 8th place for best performing cities

Provo/Orem has finished in eighth place among 200 metro areas in the Milken Institute/Greenstreet Partners 2007 Best Performing Cities Index.

The index ranks metros on their ability to create and sustain jobs, using both short- and long-term measurements of employment and salary growth and four measurements of technology output growth.

The top 10 were, in order, Ocala, Fla.; Wilmington, N.C.; Riverside/San Bernardino/Ontario, Calif.; Phoenix/Mesa/Scottsdale, Ariz.; Orlando/Kissimmee, Fla.; Naples/Marco Island, Fla.; McAllen/Edinburg/Mission, Texas; Provo/Orem; Las Vegas/Paradise, Nev.; and Raleigh/Cary, N.C.
