Following two weeks of public performances in the Harris Fine Arts Center's Nelke Theatre, the company will take a one-hour version of the play on tour to various local elementary schools throughout the year. Directed by Christopher Clark, the cast includes Cooper Howell, Chelsea Stone, Julie Saunders, Brouge Morgan, Kevin O'Keefe, Aaron Willden and Jennie Chandler.

Discounted dress-rehearsal performances are Tuesday and Wednesday of this week, with regular performances beginning Thursday. Curtain is 7:30 p.m. nightly except Sundays and Mondays, with one matinee on Saturday at 2 p.m.

All tickets are $5 each for the dress rehearsals and the matinee. Tickets for all other performances are $10 for adults and $6 on weeknights and $7 on weekends for BYU students, faculty or staff (422-7664, performances.byu.edu).

SUITS, based on Aristophanes' ancient Greek drama (also known as "The Knights" or "The Horsemen") was written when the Peloponnesian War had already been going on for 10 years. It's centered around the intense desire of the more moderate-minded citizens for relief from the misery of war.

The drama will have a free staged reading by Weber State University's Greek Readers' Theatre on Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Special Collections room of WSU's Stewart Library. The cast is comprised of WSU faculty, staff and students. Due to the play's mature themes and language, it is recommended for mature audiences only.

DRACULA, an original adaptation of Bram Stoker's classic thriller, is being presented by the Phoenix Theatre Company at the Academy of Performing Arts, 3188 S. 400 East, from Friday through Oct. 27.

The cast includes Collin Kreuzer as Dracula, Brandon Anderson as Prof. Van Helsing, Brighton Sloan as Mina Harker and Denis Record as Renfield.

Performances are 7:30 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays and Mondays at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for children and senior citizens (898-2728, www.academyofpa.org).

THE WIZ, a contemporary musical version of L. Frank Baum's "The Wizard of Oz," is being staged Thursday-Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Heritage Center Stage, Provo. Directed by Pat Davis, the production features students of the Heritage School, 5600 N. Heritage School Drive.

Tickets are $8 for reserved premium seating and $7 for general admission. Group rates are also available. All tickets are $1 more if purchased at the door (226-4600, www.heritagertc.org).
