2007 Itty Bitty Salt Lake City Less is more
Yes, there is a bit less city these days: Crossroads Plaza has disappeared, the Key Bank building on Main has imploded, and the ZCMI Center block is being pulled apart one steel beam at a time. But there's still plenty of downtown left for our 15th annual Itty Bitty Salt Lake City contest.
As usual, we're providing a set of tiny clues that represent fragments of downtown architecture, signs, statues and icons. All you have to do is identify them.
You'll find them in the area bordered by South Temple and 400 South, 300 East and 200 West.
The 2007 Itty Bitty Salt Lake City grand prize winner will receive a $2,000 6-month CD from Zions Bank.
• Second prize: Lemon citrine David Yurman necklace, courtesy of O.C. Tanner, valued at $610.
• Third prize: Night on the town, featuring a stay for two at the Peery Hotel, a $100 gift certificate to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, and Utah Symphony tickets for two for an upcoming concert (based on availability).
• Fourth prize: Ceramic vase by Joseph Pesina, courtesy of IAO Gallery, valued at $85, a $30 Gastronomy gift certificate and a $25 gift certificate from Sam Weller's Zion Bookstore.
• Fifth prize: $50 Fanzz gift certificate and two tickets to the University of Utah vs. San Diego State football game plus two hospitality passes.
