Composite tax rates

The composite tax rate is the total of all local property taxes paid to school districts, including the basic rate, transportation, tort liability, debt service and capital outlay taxes. To determine how much you'll pay in taxes to your local school district, multiply the value of your home by 0.55 and your district's 2007-'08 tax rate. The following table shows the tax on a $250,000 home.

  • Alpine School District

    2006-'07 composite rate: 0.006883 = $946.42 tax

    2007-'08 composite rate: 0.006937 = $953.84 tax

  • Provo School District

    2006-'07 composite rate: 0.006147 = $845.21 tax

    2007-'08 composite rate: 0.005239 = $720.36

  • Nebo School District

    2006-'07 composite rate: 0.008696 = $1,195 tax

    2007-'08 composite rate: 0.008150 = $1,120 tax
