Preps of the week
Langi carried the ball 15 times for 235 yards and two touchdowns, including a 76-yarder in which he weaved through Skyline's defense.
"I thought we came out fired up, kind of controlled the line of scrimmage. I thought Sam (Langi) came out and ran really strong right off," said Bingham coach Dave Peck.
Langi is no stranger to success. While serving as Bingham's No. 2 running back as a junior last year behind Doug Fiefia, Langi rushed for 892 yards and 14 touchdowns.
MEGAN CLYDE, Hurricane: This junior setter is one of the best athletes in the state, but you wouldn't know that from talking to her.
"She's quiet and unassuming," said Hurricane coach Dan McKeehan. "This is her third year as our varsity setter, and she is a great volleyball player ... She leads by example."
Clyde led the Tigers to an impressive preseason performance at the Dixie Tournament last weekend as they swept North Sanpete in the championship.
"She is just a great leader and an infectious winner," McKeehan said.
