Posthumous inductees into the Walk of Fame include Chuck Connors, George "Gabby" Hayes, Jim Davis, Lex Baxter and Whitney Parry.
In addition to the Little Hollywood Walk of Fame, the Western Legends Round-Up will feature other non-stop entertainment, including a Friday-night presentation by Baxter Black, who bills himself as "cowboy poet, ex-veterinarian and sorry team roper with more hair around his lip than on his head," and a Saturday-night concert by R.W. Hampton, considered one of the leading Western entertainers in the country today.
There will also be a street fair, quilt show, working displays of Western skills and crafts, shoot-outs, bus tours of movie locations, a Western film festival, Dutch-oven cooking, etc.
A highlight of the festival is the Cowboy Poet Round-up, which pits top poetry performers from around the world against each other, competing for prizes.
In addition, a number of other celebrity guests are scheduled to be on hand, including Clint Walker, Ruth Buzzi, Johnny Crawford, Cheryl Rogers Barnett (daughter of Dale Evans) and Kim Darby.
"There are a lot of our old-timers who remember those days. A lot of them worked in the movies or provided animals or such. They talk about how the movie people treated the people of Kanab so well. After they put in their time on the movie sets, they would go into town and do things with the local people, even go into their homes."
Mower thinks people come away from the festival with "a whole different way of looking at how movies were made," as well as an appreciation for the area and its past.
"The people that came here," says Mower, "had to go through a lot to give us what we have today. This is a wonderful, beautiful area, with a very special heritage."
