I happen to agree with both Amy Bjorge (Forum, Aug. 6) and Jonathan D. Whitney (Forum, Aug. 7) concerning the LDS pamphlet regarding same-sex attraction. The church does expect the same from homosexuals and single heterosexuals when it comes to chastity. However, as Ms. Bjorge points out, society treats these groups much differently.

Until any person undergoes life as a homosexual — not to mention an LDS homosexual — he or she has no right to authority on the subject.
