WEST VALLEY CITY — Two "Meet the Candidates" public forums are planned for West Valley City in preparation for the upcoming election.

The first event will be Sept. 5 at 7 p.m. in the City Council chambers of West Valley City Hall, 3600 S. Constitution Blvd.

The other event is scheduled for Oct. 30 at 7 p.m., at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center, 1355 W. 3100 South.

Chamber West president Alan Anderson will be the moderator of the public forums. Candidates will be asked randomly selected questions, submitted by residents prior to and during the forum.

The public forums will last approximately one hour. Candidates will be available one hour before the event to meet one-on-one with residents.

Questions for the forum can be submitted to ojackson@wvc-ut.gov. For more information, call the West Valley City recorder's office at 963-3203 or 963-3207.
