Utah Jazz agree to terms with former UVSC guard Price
The Jazz agreed to terms with Price Thursday morning. Terms of the deal are not public.
Utah senior vice president of basketball operations Kevin O'Connor said he cannot speak about the free agent until he passes the physical and signs, nor would he address the situation this obviously poses regarding restrict free-agent guard Dee Brown, who also plays the point.
The Jazz recently signed guard Jason Hart to a two-year $5-million deal, and with Price and Brown, they would have four players including Deron Williams who are essentially point guards.
Price is an undrafted 6-foot-2, 190-pounder who played two seasons for the Sacramento Kings, averaging 2.9 career points 0.7 career assists and 3.3 points and 0.8 assists last season.
The Kings had given the restricted free agent a qualifying offer this summer but rescinded it last Friday, making Price a free agent.
Price's best game last season was 16 points on 6-for-9 shooting against the Jazz Nov. 22 in Sacramento, and he had his fourth-best game of the season (13 points) against Utah April 6.
