Local urban fishing waters
Salem Pond
Location: Salem. Directions: From I-15 take exit 260 (Spanish Fork) left onto Main St., follow road from Spanish Fork to Salem, in Salem turn south on Main, proceed to pond on right. Size: 11 acres. Boating and floating: May-Oct. Motorized vessels need a permit. Catch: Rainbow trout, channel catfish, largemouth bass, bluegill and walleye. Handicap access: yes.
Tawa Pond (upper)
Location: St. George. Directions: 2200 W. Snow Canyon Parkway, St. George o just north of the Snow Canyon Parkway near the Canyons Softball Complex. Size: 0.8 acres. Catch: Largemouth bass, bluegill, green sunfish and catchable rainbow trout stocked mid-November through April.
Tawa Pond (lower)
Location: St. George. Directions: Canyons Softball Complex, St. George; 2100 North, 2100 West, then south of the upper Tawa Pond and the Snow Canyon Parkway. Size: 0.5 acres. Catch: Largemouth bass, bluegill, green sunfish and catchable rainbow trout stocked mid-November through April.
Location: Hurricane. Directions: Just southwest of Quail Lake, approximately 350 N. 3700 West in Hurricane. Size: 7 acres. Catch: Rainbow trout.
Meadow Creek Pond
Location: Roy. Directions: From I-15 exit at Roy and go west to 4300 W., turn right onto 4300 W., right on 5250 S., left on 4200 W., you should see the pond and parking. Size: 4 acres. Boating and floating: Not allowed. Catch: Channel catfish, rainbow trout, bluegill, yellow perch, largemouth bass and common carp. Handicap access: yes.
Four Mile Creek
Location: HarrisvillEast Directions: Off Harrisville Road (Highway 89), at 363 West in Harrisville. Boating and floating: Not allowed. Catch: Rainbow trout. Handicap access: No.
Burch Creek
Location: South Ogden. Directions: Glassman Way (between Washington and Harrison Blvds), approximately 5200 South. Floating: Not allowed. Catch: Bonneville cutthroat trout.
