Wyatt was chairman of Snow board

A former member and chairman of Snow College's Board of Trustees, Scott L. Wyatt has served in multiple positions in the public and private sectors.

He is currently a managing partner of Daines & Wyatt, LLP, a legal services office in Logan, as well as a member of the Utah House of Representatives. He represents Logan, where he has served the Cache County Corp. as their attorney and provides legal services to students at Utah State University.

He earned undergraduate degrees in philosophy and economics from USU and a juris doctorate from the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah. Legislation he has sponsored since his election in 2005 includes making animal cruelty a felony in the state of Utah, creation of the governor's Council on Victims of Crime, and the modification, amendment and revision of several criminal statutes, including efforts to protect children from pornography. Wyatt also sponsored a bill that changed requirements for higher education tuition assistance at Utah's colleges and universities.

Wyatt has been an instructor at USU and at Bridgerland Applied Technology College and served as a law clerk in the education division for the Utah attorney general. He is also the vice chairman of the Bear River Mental Health Board of Directors.

As student body president his senior year at USU, Wyatt served as a student member of the Board of Regents. He chaired Snow's Board of Trustees from 2001 to 2005 and has been a member since 1993.
