BEAR AWARE CLASS

The Bear River Center in Brigham City will hold a "Bear Aware" class for interested persons on Aug. 4. The class will be given by the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources.

Topics will be biology, behaviors, populations and how to be safe in bear country. A special kid-friendly slide presentation will be given.

The free class will be held from 2 to 3:30 p.m. To pre-register call 435-723-5887. The center is at 2155 W. Forest St. Take exit 363 off I-15 and go west for one block.

CANYON HIKE

The Utah River Council will hold an evening hike in Little Cottonwood Canyon on July 25.

The topic will be the urban water supply along the Wasatch Front. The hike will start at 5:30 p.m.
