Finally, they strongly back Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr. in his signing an agreement with California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger putting Utah into the Western Regional Climate Action Initiative — an effort to set new standards reducing greenhouse emissions, which are blamed for global warming.

How significant a problem is global warming? It is the most significant issue today, say 5 percent of Utahns polled; one of the most significant, say 38 percent. Thus, 43 percent think it is significant.

However, 53 percent think it's either not among the most significant issues or "not a significant issue at all."

Asked if they support or oppose Huntsman's decision to sign the agreement making Utah part of the Western Regional Climate Action Initiative, a huge proportion, 74 percent, supported the governor. "Strongly" supporting were 42 percent and somewhat supporting were 32 percent.

Those who opposed Huntsman's action amount to only 13 percent, with a like number saying they don't know.
