The Utah Transit Authority launched a new Web site Friday with less text, more graphics and a simpler layout.

UTA spokesman Chad Saley said the new site should be easier for people to navigate and find information about things such as bus routes, business proposals and expansion plans. To ease the transition to the new site, headings have been kept consistent with UTA's old site, and a link on the main Web page directs people to give tips for improvement.

With the redesigned Web site, UTA is hopeful it can better add information about expansion projects and changes at the agency. Its old site had a spot to list information about new TRAX projects, but the space soon filled because of formatting issues. The layout of the new site solves that issue.
