Disabilities center marks 35th at USU
"The CPD is celebrating 35 years of making a difference through education, research and services," said Sarah Rule, the CPD's director at USU.
The center, which provides opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities, has grown into one of the largest and most dynamic units in the national network it belongs to, according to Rule. Its focus has been improving life for people of all ages with disabilities and the lives of their families.
"Disability is a natural part of life, and most of us are going to experience disability personally or with a family member," Rule said.
Events include a CPD open house, family picnic and swimming at the Logan Aquatic Center on Friday, and a dinner reception and dance at the Coppermill on Saturday. The events require advance registration and payment, however the open house and swimming are free.
