Utah County pools, parks and more

The Utah County Commission approved grants to the following cities for recreation-related projects:

• Alpine — $5,738.13 for playground equipment

• Cedar Fort — $214 for the town community center

• Cedar Hills — $4,932.15 for playground equipment

• Elk Ridge — $1,425.19 for the city's message board

• Goshen — $591.98 for a ballfield

• Highland — $8,452.39 for park improvements

• Lehi — $20,089.47 for restroom facilities at Dry Creek trail park

• Lindon — $6,128.12 for playground equipment

• Orem — $56,800.71 for scoreboards

• Mapleton — $4,432.60 for concession stand and score booth

• Payson — $10,410.06 for municipal swimming pool

• Pleasant Grove — $18,500.06 for playground equipment

• Provo — $72,896.35 for arts center landscaping

• Salem — $3,494.29 for soccer park design plans

• Santaquin —$4,365.49 for park bleachers

• Spanish Fork — $16,845.27 for disc golf course

• Springville — $16,024.09 for Springville Art Shop restroom remodeling and furnace replacement
