The Utah Transit Authority said Friday that three new people have joined its Board of Trustees: Payson Mayor Burtis Bills, Michael Romero and Dr. J. Kent Millington.

Bills replaces Dr. Walter Talbot, from Spanish Fork. Romero replaces Stuart Richardson. And Millington, who serves on the state Transportation Commission, replaces outgoing commissioner Jan Wells.

Millington will not have a vote during board decisions but will oversee and report board actions to other transportation commissioners.

Members of the UTA board are appointed by cities and counties that are part of UTA's service district. There are 16 members of the board, with seven representing Salt Lake County, one representing the unincorporated county, one representing Salt Lake City, and two representatives each for Davis, Weber and Utah counties.

The last seat is filled by a filled a member of the Transportation Commission.
