Huntsman sends 14 board picks to Utah Senate

Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr. has sent 14 nominations to fill seats on three state boards to the state Senate for confirmation.

Brian Miller is appointed to replace Afton Rire as a member of the Crime Victim Reparations Board.

Nominated to the Solid and Hazardous Waste Control Board are Jeff Coombs, Ryan Dupont, John Newman, Michael Brehm, Carlton Christensen and Craig Forster.

Nominated to the Board of Tourism Development are Steve Burr, Hans Fuegi, Pam Hilton, Steve Lindburg, Jeff Robbins, Bob Syrett and William Malone.

The appointments are for four-year terms.
