Reserve point guard Dee Brown was at the Jazz's practice facility Thursday morning, but did not work out with the team. Brown will travel to Oakland with the club for Friday's Game 3 of Utah's Western Conference semifinal series with Golden State. His status for the game is doubtful, however.

The rookie point guard was diagnosed with a sprained neck and will receive treatment with the team on the road.

Team spokeswoman Linda Luchetti said Brown sustained no structural damage, "but it just hurts like holy heck."

Brown was injured in the first half of Utah's Game 2 win over Golden State on Wednesday when he fell backward into teammate Mehmet Okur, and caught the full weight of Okur as the Jazz center fell toward the floor.

Starting shooting guard and backup point guard Derek Fisher also will travel to Oakland and is expected to be available for the remainder of the playoffs. Fisher missed all of Game 1 and the first half of Game 2 against the Warriors while dealing with a matter involving his infant daughter Tatum, who underwent successful surgery on Wednesday in New York as part of her battle with retinoblastoma, a childhood eye cancer.

The Jazz lead the best-of-seven series, 2-0.
