Alicia Taase, a U. student, wished that people had spent more time listening and less time heckling. "People would have gotten a lot more out of it if they had just listened," she said. "I'm worried about our country after tonight. ... I just felt the division completely."

She was there with her mother, Evelyne Taase, who said that while the debate was interesting, "You're not going to change anyone's mind.... hey, both made some good points. I agreed probably more with Sean Hannity."

Audience member Rick Focht thought the debate was spirited but also said that the crowd interruptions were disappointing.

Tickets to the event sold out in two hours. Kingsbury Hall has a capacity of more than 1,900, and ticket sales brought in nearly $25,000, minus the debate's operating costs. The money is to be distributed to such charities as the Guadalupe Schools, Primary Children's Medical Center and a scholarship fund at the university.

Before the event, KSL radio talk-show host Doug Wright announced that two Wright bobblehead dolls, one signed by Anderson and one signed by Hannity, would be auctioned on e-Bay, with proceeds also to go to the three causes.
