Elementary students craft dolls for children

Nielsen said the ultimate goal is to enable the women to eventually purchase land.

Aside from the dolls and the coop, Karren will be bringing lesson plans and teaching materials to the schools for the students.

Volunteers will also be teaching life skills to the women so they can start up other businesses like sewing or crocheting. They will also be holding miniworkshops for the families on health, nutrition and AIDS prevention.
