FAN FARE: Between 80 and 100 Ute fans were at the regional, and DiLuzio said they made a contribution. "The crowd was amazing. Oh my goodness.

"They came through again, and they had all the signs and their cheers they were doing throughout the whole meet. That made it a lot more fun, not knowing what cheers they were going to come up with and what signs they were going to hold up next," she said.

BYE BYE: Senior captain Nicolle Ford likes it that Utah opens the NCAA preliminaries next Thursday at 7 p.m. on the bye before floor instead of starting right out on an apparatus. "That gives us more 'primp' time," she said. "We can play with each other's hair, put sparkles in. We won't even be thinking about the meet at that point."

ALL-AROUND: Postell was runner-up in the NCAA individual all-around championship coming out of the afternoon session both times. Scores tend to elevate in the evening session because judges have seen everyone by then and get more liberal, so it's usually easier to win the title out of the evening session. Postell and the Utes will be in that evening group this time — the host team always goes at night to encourage better attendance.

Postell isn't thinking about her possibly improved chances of a title, though. "That doesn't really matter. It's just (the team) going to Super Six (championship night) that really matters," she said Tuesday, including all-around teammates Ford and Kristina Baskett.
