The Utah Department of Transportation will hold an open house for residents and commuters who live and travel along Redwood Road (State Route 68) from Saratoga Springs to Bluffdale to gather input on planned improvements to the road.

The open house will run from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 26, at Harvest Elementary School, 2105 N. Providence Drive, in Saratoga Springs.

UDOT will present its preferred solutions for improving the road at the public hearing, as well as collect comments and suggestions from those who attend the meeting.

Currently, UDOT is proposing to widen Redwood Road to five lanes, with two lanes running in each direction and one central turning lane. UDOT is also considering widening the road's shoulder and adding bike lanes.

The road improvements will be made from Pony Express Parkway (7200 North) in Saratoga Springs to Bangerter Highway in Bluffdale.

More information on the project can be found at www.udot.utah.gov/SR-68south.
