Alleged victims total 11 in Riverton abuse case
More charges are filed against the first-grade teacher
An additional two counts of aggravated sex abuse of a child were filed Wednesday against Frank Laine Hall, bringing the total number of charges to 16. The charges stem from inappropriate touching of students dating back to 2005, according to the Salt Lake District Attorney's Office.
The charges bring the total number of alleged victims to 11, including 10 girls and one boy.
Hall, a teacher at Rosamond Elementary School in Riverton, is accused of abusing students since the start of the school year in July of 2005, according to court documents. Since that time, he is accused by prosecutors of putting his hands down the pants of some students, pulling the pants down of other students and inappropriately touching the students.
All of the students in his classroom during that time were 6 or 7 years old.
Hall remained in the Salt Lake County Jail Friday on $500,000 bail.
He was hired by the Jordan School District in 1997. Hall first taught at Mountain Shadows Elementary in West Jordan until 1999 before switching to Rosamond.
Hall's next court appearance was scheduled for April 19.
