Salt Lake County Auditor Jeff Hatch has named Bruce Larsen to serve as his second in command.

Larsen most recently has been compliance and internal-audit manager at Mrs. Fields Famous Brands. He will start his duties as chief deputy auditor starting April 16. Larsen spent much of his career with Utah Power and also worked as an auditor for the Utah Tax Commission early in his career.

"Bruce has a quick mind and friendly way of getting involved in the discussion," Hatch said. "Combining these personal traits with his wealth of professional knowledge and experience will certainly make Bruce a valuable player for our office, and the county as a whole."
