SPANISH FORK — Four groups and 300 musically talented people are coming together for a concert planned for Friday.

The concert will be at 7:30 p.m. at American Leadership Academy, 898 W. 1100 South, Spanish Fork.

Bjorn Pendleton, the president of the Nebo Chorale and of the Spanish Fork Arts Council, said the "Hallelujah!" Easter concert is the third such concert for the groups involved, which includes the Nebo Chorale, directed by Rick Lunt; the Payson Civic Chorale, directed by David Dahlquist; the Utah Valley Children's Choir, directed by Ryan Eggett, and the Nebo Philharmonic, directed by Benjamin K. Winkler.

"We'll perform mostly sacred music, three numbers by each choir and three numbers by the orchestra with the 'Hallelujah' chorus as the finale with everybody," Pendleton said.

Pendleton said the first year the concert caught everyone by surprise. "People said, 'Wow!"' he said.

Now there's a following and anticipation for the annual event which has been held in the local high school.

This year, the venue is smaller so Pendleton recommends getting there early to be sure of a seat.

"We had more room in the high school, but we couldn't get it this year," he said. "We expect a packed house."
