New development plans for This Is the Place Heritage Park are forcing the popular Mormon Handicraft store to move.

"It's been a great setting for us, and we believe the store has added significantly to the park," Deseret Book vice president Jeff Clark said in a statement Wednesday. "However, the park is taking a new turn, and future plans call for the use of the building we've been occupying."

Mormon Handicraft has been at the park since 2004. It moved several times to locations around Temple Square before finally moving to the mouth of Emigration Canyon.

The store, which features souvenirs, fabric, crafts and specialty foods, will now move into many Deseret Book stores across Utah.
