Outdoor notes
Applications for Utah black bear hunting permits will be accepted only through the Internet this year.
Hunters can apply for a permit at www.wildlife.utah.gov.
Applications must be received through the Web site no later than 11 p.m. on Feb. 28 to be included in the draw for permits. Draw results will be available by March 29.
In 2006, more than 6,400 hunters applied for a Utah black bear permit. Of the more than 6,400 hunters, only 230 applied with a paper application.

Utah's spring bear season runs April 7-May 31. The state's fall hunt runs Aug. 25-Sept. 30 and Nov. 1-25.
COOL YOGA
The Ogden Nature Center will hold "Cool Yoga" sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Cost is $8 per class, payable monthly. For information call 778-0753 or 621-7595.
The center is located at 966 W. 12th St. in Ogden.
Wasatch Mountain State Park offers a number of activities for the entire family during the winter months, from cross country skiing to tubing.
There is six miles of groomed cross country ski trails that are open. Skiers will find flat, easy terrain on the Lake Course and a more advanced route on the Mountain Course. Trail passes are $5 per day, with rental equipment available for an additional $5.

SEASON GOLF PASS
Season golf passes are available for Wasatch Mountain and Soldier Hollow golf courses. The pass is $1,000 and covers green fees. Cart rental is not included.
Passes are currently available for purchase at the Wasatch Mountain State Park Visitors Center seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The pass is valid at Wasatch Mountain Golf Course Monday through Friday and at Soldier Hollow Golf Course seven days a week. The pass expires one year from the month issued.
Green fees for the 2006-07 season will be $12.50 weekdays for nine holes and $13.50 weekends; $11 weekdays for juniors and seniors; and $6 cart fee for nine holes. For more information call 435-654-1791.
