3 arrested on meth charges in Provo
A child was found in the home at the time of the raid, police said.
Officers from the Provo Police Department and Utah County Major Crimes Task Force obtained a warrant to search an apartment near 750 S. 650 West in Provo Saturday night.
After entering the residence, police said they found glassware, hoses and other items commonly used to make the drug, according to a police report.
A confidential informant had told officers a 15-month-old child lived in the apartment and had been in the "lab" room while meth was being made, according to the report.
A man, 40, and his wife, 35, were booked into jail for investigation of possession of a meth/clandestine lab, possession of precursors and child endangerment. They are being held on $50,000 cash-only bail.
A 20-year-old woman the mother of the young child was booked into jail for investigation of child endangerment and possession by consumption after officers allegedly found meth in her urine. She is being held on $5,000 cash-only bail.
Case workers from the Division of Child and Family Services were called to the location and took the child.
The three individuals will be in 4th District Court again on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m.
