"It's hard for me. I'm not the type that's always Miss Bubbly. If I'm having a bad day, you'll know about it," Ford said, laughing at her own reputation that a long time ago earned her the nickname "Queenie."

READY ANNIE: Freshman Annie DiLuzio of Folsom, Calif., is the most ready to perform Friday, said Marsden, saying she may do all events but bars because a bone chip in her elbow that happened last summer keeps her from training at that event.

She's in pretty good shape despite getting food poisoning while home on Christmas break.

"Annie's come back on a bit of a mission," Marsden said. "She's made the greatest strides."

Said DiLuzio: "My routines are not up to what they should be at or what they will be at in the middle of the season, but the beginning of the season, get me out there and experienced, I guess."
