Editorial was wasted space

Fifteen column inches is a lot of print space, especially on the editorial page. The intellectual vapid expression by Ed Firmage seems a sad waste of that space. His assertions not only lack evidence, they fly in the face of reality. He talks of "butchery" beginning with the invasion of Iraq. Tell that to the over 3,000 killed on 9/11, and to the hundreds of thousands maimed, raped and killed in Iraq prior to the invasion.

"Corporate killers"? Earth to the good professor — only the worst of wackos believes that Halliburton, or any other corporate entity, directed the war. They provided delivery and support services.

A "just war" would seem to me to be one in which we are defending ourselves from someone who attacked us first. And it seems better to fight in the Middle East instead of the middle of State Street.

I do support one comment by the professor. We should impeach and try in both civil and criminal courts those members of the Senate and House, primarily those on the socialist left, who have given aid and comfort to the enemy through their thoughtless and inane comments.
