Miller is next recipient of 'Giant in Our City' award

Larry H. Miller will receive the Salt Lake Chamber's "Giant in Our City" award during a Feb. 7 event at the Grand America Hotel.

Miller is the owner of the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies, the Utah Jazz basketball team, the Miller Motorsports Park and EnergySolutions Arena.

The Salt Lake Chamber established the Giant In Our City award in 1969 to honor lives of exceptional and distinguished public service and extraordinary professional achievement. It is the chamber's top award. Past winners include James LeVoy Sorenson, Jon M. Huntsman and President Gordon B. Hinckley of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Miller and his wife, Gail, are the parents of five children. They have 21 grandchildren.
