Question: My boyfriend and I are wondering if the girl who plays the cheerleader on "Heroes" is the same actress who played the daughter of the first coach, then assistant coach in "Return of the Titans"?

Answer: You mean "Remember the Titans," right? And you mean Hayden Panettiere, who plays Claire Bennet on "Heroes," right? She was in that 2000 movie, all right, as the daughter of Bill Yoast (Will Patton).

Question: I am trying desperately to remember the name of the TV series that Kevin Spacey starred in before he became a star. He was a criminal hooked on drugs, and he had a sister. Nothing is riding on this answer, just my sanity.

Answer: Oh — no pressure then. Spacey was a regular on "Wiseguy," a crime drama that ran on CBS from 1987 until 1990. The title role was played by Ken Wahl as undercover agent Vinnie Terranova. Spacey played warped bad guy Mel Profitt in 1988. Joan Severance played his just-as-warped sister, Susan.

Question: I have a question. Recently I heard that the guy who plays Turtle on HBO's "Entourage" died. Is it true?

Answer: Jerry Ferrara, who plays Turtle, is alive and well.

Question: Yesterday I was watching "That '70s Show." It was an episode about Kelso joining the police. Kelso, Eric and Hyde break into the police academy to remove something from Kelso's file. They are caught by an older cop. This older cop looked like Uncle Phil Banks from "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air." Was it? What's happened to him?

Answer: Yep. James Avery, by name. And hey, a guy's gotta eat, right? Avery has been working in such films as "Raise Your Voice" and appearing on episodes of "All of Us," "NYPD Blue," "The Closer," and has two films coming out next year.

Question: I'm really going to test your memory. I would say that in the 1960s there was a movie (I think on PBS) about a poor kid who finds a cat. He hides it and feeds it because the cat's family can't afford to care for it. Does it ring any bells?

Answer: That's a film called "J.T.," which originally aired on CBS in 1969. It was written by Jane Wagner, who went on to become Lily Tomlin's longtime collaborator. The film starred Kevin Hooks (now one of the executive producers on "Prison Break") and Holland Taylor, among others. It won a Peabody Award.
