A five-hour search of City Creek Canyon using police cadaver dogs failed to turn up any additional evidence Sunday after a human skull was found Saturday afternoon by workers trimming trees in the canyon.

Salt Lake City Police Lt. Gary Layton said further searches of the area may be warranted, depending on the results of the medical examiner's report on the skull.

The skull, which police said could have been in the canyon for as long as two years, was found about 1 p.m. Saturday but no other remains or clothing were located.
