Keep forest roads open

I grew up at the foot of Boulder Mountain and appreciated its beauty, natural resources, hunting and fishing. However, not having access to a horse anymore — only an ATV — it has greatly restricted my access. Portions of a once-pioneer road, used for decades to travel from Grover Boulder, have been blocked off to any motorized use. Signs threaten fines if you circumvent big boulders or trees blocking the road to this premium hunting area. The road is there, and though rough, it is still very usable for a month during the hunting season without injury to the landscape.

For the most part, the Forest Service has done an excellent job in managing our forests' natural resources. I commend them for that. I just feel that areas where roads have existed for decades should still be open for the limited use that they would get.
