Once again it is time for the Deseret Morning News annual Christmas writing contest, "Christmas I Remember Best." Christmas is a time to remember and reflect on Christmases past. So we are asking our readers to put into original Christmas stories their most memorable Christmas.

Entries are now being accepted. There will be four to six stories chosen for publication in the newspaper the week prior to Christmas with the final story appearing on Christmas Day. True-life stories should be original and no more than 800 words in length. The editor/judges prefer stories that cover a wide range of Christmas experiences including humor. Winners will be notified.

Ideally, stories should be written on a computer, typewriter or printed out legibly so they can be easily read.

The author's name, address, daytime and evening phone numbers and e-mail address, if possible, must be included.

Duplicate submissions are not necessary. The deadline for submission is Monday, Dec. 4.

Address entries to "Christmas Best" c/o Deseret Morning News, 30 E. 100 South, Suite 400, P.O. Box 1257, Salt Lake City, UT 84110. Fax entries to 801-237-2528 or address e-mails to johnson@desnews.com.

For information, call 801-237-2135.
