MILLCREEK CANYON — Salt Lake County sheriff's deputies are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in a creek.

Police said a woman walking in Millcreek Canyon came upon a truck in the creek. The body of Scott Harmon, 38, was found next to the vehicle in the creek, Salt Lake County Sheriff's Sgt. Mike Morgan said.

"It looks like the vehicle was backed into the creek," he said Monday.

Deputies said just a few minutes before the woman called 911 to report the discovery, emergency dispatchers received a call from Harmon's family reporting him missing.

Police said the death does not appear suspicious, but investigators were awaiting autopsy results from the medical examiner's office about the cause of death.
