Salt Lake City Mayor Rocky Anderson will speak at a free public lecture at the University of Utah on how to fight global climate change.

The Wednesday lecture at the Utah Museum of Fine Arts, 410 Campus Center Drive, at 5 p.m., is being billed as more practical than political — "'green' (versus red or blue)," according to a news release.

The speech is part of the university Honors Program's Science and Society lecture series. Anderson will address ways to protect the environment while simultaneously promoting economic growth and preserving quality of life.

Anderson has recently given several speeches on fighting global warming, including at international conferences in Alaska and New York City.
