In addition to the DWR's weekly fishing report, available at www.wildlife.utah.gov/fishing/reports.php, anglers can now receive information through a new Utah Fishing Hotspot Locator site — www.wildlife.utah.gov/hotspots.

"The new site provides anglers with features they won't find on our regular fishing page," said Roger Wilson, sport fisheries coordinator for the DWR. "One of its best features is the ability to glance at the page and immediately know where the best fishing is."

PRIMAL QUEST UTAH

ESPN2 and ABC will carry one-hour episodes of Primal Quest Utah, an adventure race that was held in July and was billed as the world's most challenging adventure race.

Episodes will air over four consecutive nights — Oct. 9-12 — at 5:30 p.m. on ESPN. ABC will air a one-hour piece on Oct. 14.

There were 90 four-person teams that traveled for 10 days over 450 miles of Utah desert. Teams had to trek, mountaineer, canoe, horseback ride, mountain bike, swim and paddle rapids.

"You can't ask for a better event to showcase the unmatched beauty and adventure our state has to offer," said Jeff Robbins, president/CEO of Utah Sports Commission, which paved the way for the event to come to Utah.
