Bishop will announce plans during meeting

Presiding Bishop H. David Burton of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will unveil the church's plans for a projected $2 billion redevelopment of 20 acres on downtown's Main Street at today's Salt Lake City Council meeting, 451 S. State, Room 315, at 5:30 p.m.

The information will come at a council work-session meeting. The meeting is open to the public, but no public comment will be taken.

The meeting will be broadcast live on SLC-TV, Channel 17, which is available to cable subscribers. Streaming video and audio from the meeting will also be aired at www.slctv.com.

Coverage of the church's plans will be available here starting at 5:30 p.m.
