Public meetings set on Alpine bond issue

AMERICAN FORK — Alpine School District will have public meetings Oct. 3 and Oct. 5 to share information about projects planned if the public approves a bond issuance and increase in the voted leeway.

There will be a presentation outlining needs for the leeway, as well as the finalized plans for building, renovation and remodeling projects.

Time will be provided for questions. The election is Nov. 7 and voters will be asked to authorize the district to issue $230 million in bonds and increase the voted leeway. Property taxes are not expected to rise above the 2005 tax rate.

All meetings begin at 7 p.m.

The Oct. 3 meetings will be held at:

• Mountain Ridge Junior High, 5525 W. 104000 North, Highland

• Lakeridge Junior High, 951 S. 400 West, Orem

• Lehi Junior, 700 E. Cedar Hollow Road, Lehi

• Orem Junior, 765 N. 600 West, Orem

• Pleasant Grove Junior, 810 N. 100 East, Pleasant Grove

Oct. 5 meetings will be at:

• American Fork Junior, 1120 N. 20 West, American Fork

• Canyon View Junior, 655 E. 950 North, Orem

• Oak Canyon Junior, 111 S. 725 East, Lindon

• Timberline Junior, 500 W. Canyon Crest, Alpine

• Willowcreek Junior, 2275 W. 300 North, Lehi
