Northern Utah summit Sept. 28 at USU
Business and economic development in Box Elder, Cache, Franklin and Rich counties will be showcased.
The summit will feature two fast-track sessions featuring resources and local business success stories. Information regarding local and state economic development initiatives also will be presented. A workshop on developing international business opportunities will be held immediately following the summit, from 1:45 to 3:15 p.m., for no additional charge.
Featured presenters include Jason Perry, director of the Governor's Office of Economic Development; Ned Weinshenker, vice president of USU Strategic Ventures and Economic Development; John Matthews, northern regional economist for the Utah Department of Workforce Services; Jeff Edwards, president and chief executive officer of the Economic Development Corp. of Utah; and Leigh von der Esch, director of the Utah Office of Tourism.
