The style worked as Waterford added three second-half goals as Gina Soto netted one, Taylor scored her fourth, and Tillotson added one on a Soto assist. It was a dominant performance for a team that is looking for ways to stay motivated.

"We still have four games left with bigger schools," Dolbin said about continuing to play bigger opponents— Waterford is 3-0 against 3A schools, 0-2 against 4A and 1-0 vs. 5A. "We still have some big games, and we do want to win the title, but we know where we belong."

In other games Thursday:

REGION 1

DAVIS 2, LAYTON 2 (2OT): Alexa Paige scored in the 70th minute to tie the game for the Lancers.

WEBER 2, CLEARFIELD 1: Hillary Anger scored twice in the first half for the Warriors.

REGION 5

BOUNTIFUL 2, WOODS CROSS 0: Molli Merrill recorded the shutout.

SKY VIEW 2, BOX ELDER 0: Kali Hanby scored both goals for the Bobcats and Shalie Nield was perfect in goal.

REGION 10

PARK CITY 6, MORGAN 0: Park City scored six goals, which was more than enough support for goalkeeper Cassie Palmachie, who shut out Morgan.

JUDGE MEMORIAL 5, UINTAH 2: Kate Hicks scored two goals from more than 30 yards out, over a wall of defenders on direct kicks.
