KEARNS — Two Utah individual and four state relay records fell as 700 swimmers, on 30 different teams, competed at the 2006 Utah Long Course State Championships held at the Oquirrh Park Fitness Center earlier this month.

Ana Agy set the 50-meter freestyle record for girls 17-18 with a time of 27.17, beating the old mark by .01 seconds. Her record-setting first leg helped her relay team set a state 200-meter freestyle relay record.

On the boys' side, Jake Taylor broke a state record that was on the books for 16 years, in the 100-meter butterfly for 13- and 14 year-olds.
