Jacobson is heading into his fourth year as head coach and has nine years associated with the football program. Last year Jordan won the region title and in slight departure from his aforementioned humility he exclaimed, "We want to be the last one standing."

Jordan Beetdiggers 2006 football preview

Coach: Alex Jacobson is in his fourth year as head coach and nine years overall at Jordan.

Key players: All-state QB Sean Taylor returns to lead the team and has two powerful weapons in WRs Scotty Ebert and Cody Raymond.

Strengths: Jordan should have a powerful offense that includes receiver Kenneth Damron and returning RB Houston Cassita and TE Jarrick Tilby.

Question mark: A lot of Jordan success will depend on how quickly an untested offensive line gets up to speed.

Last year's record: 7-4, lost in first round of playoffs

Projected finish: Second in Region 2.
