Thai official visits with Utah leaders
Surakiart Sathirathai, who was heavily involved with relief in Thailand when a devastating tsunami struck South Asia in December 2004, learned more about humanitarian aid provided by the LDS Church.
Tim Bridgewater, the governor's co-education deputy, said Sathirathai is one of the top candidates to replace Kofi Annan as the secretary-general of the United Nations. He is visiting the United States to drum up support for his campaign.
